Storing your equipment for the off season can be pretty tricky.
Nothing can replace the benefit of a yearly tune up, however..........
If you follow these steps, Starting your equipment may be easier next time you go to use it.
-Always wash your equipment at the end of the season.
-After washing it, let it sit out in the sun to dry for a few hours.
-Add fuel stabilizer to a 1/2 tank or less of fuel or use TRUFUEL
-Run your machine for 15 minutes to cycle the stabilized fuel into the carburetor.
-Let your machine cool.
-Once cool, spray your entire machine with a light coat of WD-40 or similar light oil
This light coating of oil will dissipate water and prevent corrosion in the off season
-Cover your machine and store it.
You should start your machine monthly and let it run for 10-15 minutes in the off season.
Doing this agitates the stabilized fuel and prevents it from becoming stale and shellacked.
While running, you should cycle the machine through varying idle speeds and all of its gears/actions.
We can't guarantee this will work, but it will certainly help.
